For the record, Pitch Black came first and is not a part of the trilogy, but it is a part of the story canon. “The Chronicles of Riddick” movie came out about the same time as the anime short Dark Fury (very short, 35 mins) as well as the XBox game (that got ported to PC too), Escape From Butcher Bay. There are supposed to be TWO more films to finish up TCoR’s trilogy (which, remember, doesn’t count Pitch Black). I hope they’re taking their time to avoid more retcon (lots retconned already).

Ridick Chronicles is a dvd set, there was a first movie, an anime, and a second movie. Rumors are a third movie is in pre-production.
There is also the comic books, manga, and written books.
